Ashley Smith, MS CCC-SLP, Owner
Ashley graduated cum laude and with honors from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in communication sciences and disorders in 2003. She went on to earn a Master of Science in communication disorders in 2004 from the University of Texas at Dallas. Ashley holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed by the state of Texas in speech-language pathology.
At UTD, Ashley received specialized training in early childhood intervention through a grant sponsored by the US Department of Education. She combines her knowledge and experience with various forms of interventions including DIR Floor Time, Kaufman Protocol for Childhood Apraxia of Speech (K-SLP), Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), sensory processing strategies, and traditional speech-language therapy when working with children. Ashley has demonstrated the necessary level of skill and experience to be listed in the SLP Directory on the Apraxia-Kids website.
In addition, Ashley has been trained in PROMPT, an innovative therapy technique used to help patients form sounds and words through direct and indirect manipulation of the speech structures (e.g., lips, tongue, jaw). The PROMPT method is a well-regarded treatment technique particularly for children who have apraxia of speech.
Hadley Clyce, MS CCC-SLP
Hadley received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences Disorders at The University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. She received her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Abilene Christian University at the Dallas, TX location.
While working in private schools, public schools, and private practice settings she has experienced early intervention, pediatric feeding and swallowing, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and articulation disorders while working with children diagnosed with expressive/receptive language disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Down syndrome. Hadley has worked with ages birth to 18+ years of age, as well as the adult and geriatric population. She is passionate about partnering with families to create effective family-centered treatment plans to identify and celebrate the personal goals and successes of her clients. She utilizes a child led therapy approach as a way to build an authentic relationship and create a safe space for her clients to meet their goals. She is excited to work with you and your child!
Hannah Jensen, MS CCC-SLP
Hannah is from Dallas, TX and a Lake Highlands grad. She completed her Bachelor's in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Ouachita Baptist University. She then received her Master’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas.
Hannah has treated and evaluated individuals with articulation and phonological disorders, language disorders, fluency disorders, sensory and oral motor feeding disorders, Autism Spectrum disorders, Down Syndrome, traumatic brain injuries, and Cerebral Palsy, ranging in age from infants to adults. She has received training in DIR Floor Time. She loves creating a child led, play based environment for your child to grow and feel confident in.
Hannah is licensed in the state of Texas and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, playing pickle ball, and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks. Hannah is looking forward to the opportunity to work with you and your family!
Caroline Scott, MA CCC-SLP
Caroline attended the University of Calgary, in Canada, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics. She then attended Western Washington University for a post-bachelor year in communication sciences and disorders and went on to complete her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology.
During her professional career, Caroline has had the opportunity to work in pediatrics (0- 21years) with a variety of populations and disorders. Caroline has also worked in a variety of settings such as private practices, daycares, feeding clinics, early intervention, and schools. She served students in Dallas Independent School District, specializing in assistive technology/Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC). In addition, she’s had the opportunity to evaluate and treat individuals with phonological disorders, receptive/expressive language disorders, motor speech disorders, fluency disorders, pragmatic and social language disorders.
Caroline holds her national certification from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, as well as her license to practice speech-pathology in Texas.
